Our Rental Policies
Reserve & Pay Later Details
By choosing this option, we will reserve the vehicle for you. We will guarantee the rates for you. You will have no free upgrade with this option. Use this option if none of the drivers carries major credit or if you do not want to pay now.
VEHICLE AVAILABILITY
You must pick up the vehicle within 2 hours of the pickup time; otherwise, vehicle is subject to availability. You must be qualified to rent the vehicle (please read bellow for the requirements.
RESTRICTIONS
If you are reserving SUV, Convertibles, Vans, or you are reserving for high season period (Christmas holidays, Thanksgivings, long weekends and etc..) vehicle is subject to availability! This option is NOT available for reservations made after 6:00 PM.
WHAT YOU NEED AT PICK UP TIME:
- VALID DRIVER LICENSE:
All drivers must have valid driving license. (PASSPORT REQUIRED FROM INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS)
- PROOF OF INSURANCE:
Insurance must be for your personal vehicle used in USA or Canada. If you do not have insurance, you have the option to purchase insurance at the time of rental. Insurance must include 3rd party liability coverage and Collision coverage.
- DEPOSIT:
You must have $350.00 deposit in addition to the cost of rental available. We use this amount for any extra fees at the END of rental, if any. If there are no extra fees, you will receive full refund. You can pay the deposit by cash, credit card or ATM debit card. (your PIN required to for using debit card)
Reserve & Pay Now Details
By choosing this option, you can will the full amount now. You will have a confirmation number instantly. Availability of your vehicle will be guaranteed or you will be upgraded free of charge to nest available vehicle. You may pick up the vehicle up to 24 hours late (during our office hours).
WHAT YOU NEED AT PICK UP TIME:
- VALID DRIVER LICENSE:
All drivers must have valid driving license. (Passport required from international drivers)
- PROOF OF INSURANCE:
Insurance must be for your personal vehicle used in USA or Canada. If you do not have insurance, we have the option to purchase insurance at the time of rental. Your insurance MUST include 3rd party liability coverage.
- DEPOSIT:
At least one driver must have major credit card under his/her name with available balance of $250.00. This amount will preauthorized on the credit used and will be fully refunded at the end of rental. If there is any extra fees, (fuel charges and etc.. it will be taken out from this amount)
REFUND
You receive Full refund, if you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours before pick up time. You must cancel online or by email to atwestlax@gmail.com. If you cancel within 48 hours of the rental or you do not show up to pick up the vehicle, you pay 15% cancellation fee. In this case, you will receive 85% refund!
General Policy Terms Details
Free Mileage Policy
We offer both limited mileage rates and unlimited rates depending on vehicle you are renting and number of days you rent the vehicle. Please read your quote carefully to see if you have limited or unlimited mileage.
After-hour Reservations
If you plan to pick up a vehicle after our normal office hours, the latest time to pick up the vehicle is 11:00 PM*, seven days a week. Advance payment required when making after-hour reservation. Please make your reservation as “Reserve & Pay Now” when its after-hour.
Normal Office Hours
Los Angeles (8: AM to 7:00 PM weekdays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends)
San Diego (9:00 AM to 7:00 PM weekdays, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday).
We only provide service until 11:00 PM, if you have a confirmed reservation to pick up a car after-hour and you already paid for it.
Age 18 to 20 Drivers
All under-21 renters must provide car insurance information when picking up the vehicle. In general, active insurance card is sufficient. If renter’s name does not appear on the insurance card, please bring the page of the policy, showing renter as additional driver on the policy. You can also email renter’s policy number, insurance company name and expiration date to atwestlax@gmail.com, if you do not have insurance card so we can verify coverage. Please note, that renter must be resident of USA or Canada to use his/her own insurance.
IF YOU ARE UNDER-21 AND DO NOT HAVE ACTIVE CAR INSURANCE IN USA OR CANADA, PLEASE MAKE YOUR RESERVATION ONLINE AND MAKE SURE TO ADD “CDW & LIABILITY” TO YOUR PRICE QUOTE, SO YOU GET THE CORRECT ALL-INCLUSIVE PRICE.
Fuel fees
The vehicle must be returned with same level of fuel as it was rented. Otherwise, refueling charges in addition to fuel cost will apply.
Deposit requirement
An amount no less than $250.00 plus the rental cost must be available on credit card when picking up the vehicle. This amount will be $350.00, plus rental, if using ATM debit card. Atwest Rent A Car does accept pre-paid debit card. We use ATM debit card and ATM only. That means you need your ATM PIN to use the card. Deposit amount will be needed when picking up the vehicle.
Cash-only & Debit-Card Requirements
- $350 deposit in addition to rental cost.
- 2nd form of Government ID (e. g. passport)
- Valid Driver license from State or Country of residence.
Additional Drivers
One additional driver over the age of 25 can be added free of charge at the time of rental. Free additional driver must have major credit card and be over the age of 25. Otherwise $5/day fee will apply per additional driver.
Geographic Restrictions
Unless otherwise written on your rental agreement, you can only drive within State of California and Nevada. Please let us know at the time of rental, if you plan to into other States. There may insurance restrictions and/or extra fees to drive into other States.
